Humaworm Parasite Cleanse {Day 15~21}

15-21

Against my desired intentions, my Humaworm updates are going to get pretty lame. Life got in the way, the days were gelling together, blah blah blah.

Me:
I am feeling very very very good. Pathways continue to open, circulation is getting better. No toilet mishaps, well maybe one, and that’s because I ate spicy instant Chinese noodles which no doubt had a severe helping of MSG. Have I seen any worms? No. But that’s because I barely look. Towards the end of the week, I was feeling extremely UGHHH. Like Lyme UGHHH.

Husband:
He stopped being a chicken and upped back to full dose on day 18. When he did the full dose, the headache came back within half an hour, but a very tolerable headache. I asked him if he can breath better and he thought about it and said “Why yes!” He never really was a good communicator. But then again, what husbands are? Near the end of the week, the headache was building every day again and he couldn’t handle it so he went back down to one dose. He missed a dose on one occasion.

LLMD Office Visit – September 2012

DISCLAIMER: PLEASE SEE YOUR OWN LLMD FOR YOUR OWN SPECIFIC TREATMENT. DO NOT GO ON ANY LYME PROTOCOL WITHOUT FIRST SEEING AN LLMD.

Don’t ask me how I am finding the time to write this post. Today included a whole lot of running around and much of 4 hours were dedicated to waiting rooms, blood tests, medication refills and the like. If I added up how much time I have wasted due to this nonsense, I would have been able sew a quilt the size of a football field.

Saturday morning started with us driving up to Montreal, forgetting our passports for the NY Border crossing, turning back, but we eventually made it. Tuesday I was scheduled to see LLMD. Husband and 5 year old dropped me off and headed to the mall. I was 15 minutes early. The clinic was awfully quiet. The nurse took my vitals. She mentioned to me that the wait list now is up until January 2013.

Height: 60 in
Weight: 100lb (YIKES!!!!!)
Blood Pressure: 122/88 mmHg
Temp: 98.4 F
Pulse: 78 bpm
Resp Rate: 13 rpm

As the LLMD was in with a new patient, it went on longer than usual and I waited another 25 minutes. But I was welcomed with the biggest open arms. I asked if I can record the conversation on my phone because I will most likely forget what anybody said. The conversation started with me describing the second worst herx of my life (which actually ended on the Sunday). So as we speak, I’ve been about 4 days symptom free.

We went over my symptoms:

  • Burning Fingers, nausea, vertigo, drunk, head pressure, night terrors, anxiety, not hungry until moving around, all symptoms of underlying Babesia.
  • Metal taste – can be due to the Clarithromycin. Also due to heavy metal exposure. I asked if I should get the (3) silver fillings removed in my teeth. I was advised this was a wise idea but to make sure it’s done with a biological dentist. Even if you have an oral dam, you will still need to have oxygen, a mask on, air expeller etc. Since you are getting better, you will minimize the risk of mercury exposure by going to the right dentist. They will also give you IV Vitamin C after the treatment. If you do it, do it right.
  • Math is the first thing to go with adults and children. Even an accountant who can balance something in minutes will now take 20 minutes.
  • Hormones can change because of Lyme
  • Beware of drinking from plastic bottles, lotions, petroleum as they have plastics in them. Use extra virgin coconut oil.
  • Colon hydrotherapy and coffee enemas. Highly recommended.
  • Beware with GMO. No canola oil. Stay on a healthy organic diet.

I also typed up a list of questions for our visit which are summarized below:

Q: On the 1st and 2nd round of Pulse A and B, I did really well. On the 3rd round of Pulse B, things started to get a little worse. More cotton head, vertigo that lasted 2 weeks. One night had the shakes really badly, cold clammy, hot and cold. Was this a herx or candida flare up?
A:
Symptoms get worse in the spring and fall. Was a possible herx. If it were candida, it would persist. With a herx, you will feel all these symptoms that are horrible, but they will get better. Hasn’t seen that with candida. If it were candida, they wouldn’t really get over the herx, newer symptoms would persist such as abdominal distension, trouble digesting food, coated tongue, sore throat, lots more joint pain, peri-anal itching. Yeast makes acetaldehyde, a chemical not good for the body and the liver will turn that into alcohol. As my symptoms went away, it probably wasn’t a yeast issue.

Q: Can I mix 50% alcohol teasel root, Kombucha with tinidazole.
A:
No. You shouldn’t mix. Even if you dine in a restaurant, make sure you are aware of what they are marinating the meats with. Even a wine marinade will cause a bad reaction. Remember this rule applies to Metronidizole (Flagyl). Kombucha is a fermented tea, however it may not make enough alchohol to warrant a reaction. But do a quick google search just in case.

Q:  How to bring up WBC levels. Should I be concerned with blood labs at all? Mine has been a steady 3.7.
A:
Be happy with a 3.7. Sometimes they will come up on their own after treatment. If they fall below a 3.0, patients are taken off meds immediately. If it goes below 3, patients are required to skip a day of medication per week. Choose the same day every week (Monday) to skip. Another way to bring up WBC levels is Cordyceps, a mushroom that can support the WBC. Low WBC means chronic infection. It can be toxins or mercury, which would bring me back to the silver fillings issue.

Q:  Wanting to testing 5 year old at appointment / recent Spider Bite in Sept 1 / No symptoms but diarrhea.
A:
Symptoms of children are hyperactivity, but hard to diagnose because boys are hyperactive to begin with. Other signs are “my tummy hurts, “I’m tired, carry me” (on a constant basis). Treating children with Cowden Condensed Protocol and they usually do well with it. Diarreah is not typically a sign of lyme, it just means his immune system is in overdrive.

Q:  Do any of your patients relapse? And if so, what is the treatment and is it quick to “bounce back”?
A:
Patients do relapse. They are treated with Doxycycline and Clarithromycin and a pulse of Metronidazole just to prevent a cyst form of Lyme from popping back up. Within 4 – 6 weeks, patients improve. It’s not going to be like starting over from square one.

Q: What if I get bitten again?
A: You have no immunity. None. Nada. Be careful where you choose to vacation. It is not all about Lyme. Sandfleas can spread infection. People are coming from all over the world, they are bringing their infections and there is a greater exposure. They are getting bit my mosquitoes and sandfleas. Sandfleas are notorious for giving the bartonella infection. Beware of Cuba and Dominican Republic. Do not allow yourself be bitten. Sandfleas look like tiny grains of sand jumping. Be inquisitive. Keep watch on the beaches. Do not sit on sand. If there are not enough chairs, sit by the pool. Or better yet, sit on concrete! When on a resort, some have private beaches where there are grass. Don’t sit on the grass. Get Samento which really helps.

Q: What is the CD57 test?
A: At first when it was published, CD57 was diagnostic of Lyme. And only people with Lyme had a low CD57. However in recent discussions, patients who have low CD57 have improved, others who have high CD57 were the sickest people ever received. It doesn’t look like a fool proof answer to anything. If you want to measure it before you off antibiotic you can. Gamma Dynacare offers it in Toronto. Or you get it through Igenex.

Q: When I can think about getting pregnant?
A: Would like to prescribe Cefuroxime and Zithromax a few months before hand. And take it during pregnancy.

The best sentence of the day said by LLMD.

Be weary about trusting tests. It is not about proving it on a piece of paper. It’s about how you feel.

Treatment Plan: September – December 2012
I will be on the exact same treatment plan as I have been for the last 3 months because I’m doing really well on it. We may change it up in December 2012 or March 2013.

TREATMENT PROTOCOL #3
October 2012 – December 2012

  • PULSE  A: for 10 days
    Clindamycin 150 mg (1 pills 4x a day)
    Quinine 200 mg (2 pills a day)
    Bab2 (by Beyond Balance):  23-50 drops (2x a day)
  • PULSE  B: for 10 days
    Plaquenil 200 mg (1 pill 2x a day)
Tinidazole 500 mg (1 pill 2x a day) – Due to my intolerance of Flagyl, I’m taking this instead. Say hi to Flagyl’s sister.
    Clarithromycin 500mg (1 pill 2x a day)

Rotate these 2 pulses every 10 days for 3 months.

More Stuff

I got my little buddy the #188 and #189 Western Blot with Igenex. LLMD’s nurse drew the blood. He was a trooper and didn’t cry at all. I will get the results in 3 weeks. If he is negative, I won’t look at the $200 as a waste of money. I will have peace of mind and also that may be a good sign for me to gauge how long I’ve had it. If he’s positive, that’s another story and a whole other can of worms.

I was also concerned about the white thrush on my tongue. I was prescribed with Diflucan, or I can go on Grapefruit Seed Extract, Fiji Tea, adding fresh organic garlic to food (raw and crushed). Garlic also stimulates the immune system, improves circulation, kills intestinal parasites and lowers blood pressure. It is a powerful antioxidant. I can also use Caprylic Acid, a fatty acid supplement derived from coconut oil and is specifically effective for killing candida overgrowth in the intestines. (should not be taken by people who have ulcerative colitis). I can also optionally start on InterFase by Klaire Lab for the treatment of biofilm.

However as LLMD prescribed me with the Diflucan, my Canadian doc thought that this was too harsh on my system so prescribed me with Oral Nystatin (shown above) for 10 days. I am not sure what to do with this so I have to read up.

I also inquired about B12 injections and so I was prescribed with syringes and stuff that needs to be purchased through a compounding pharmacy. It is for 3 times a week. I hear that a normal person would do it once a month. Great. More questions from the pharmacy. I am not exactly sure what to do with it all, but my good friend over at Lyme Maze has sent me lots of info on where and how to properly inject this stuff into your buttocks. Getting the stuff is another story.

What I did today.

We are heading to Orlando Disney tomorrow! Even though I should have been packing, I was busy for most of the day as mentioned trying to get the above prescription re-written and filled. I didn’t go to Costco this time, I went to a pharmacy beside the clinic and the pharmacist asked out of curiosity why I’m taking all these meds. I said Lyme. She nodded her head. She knew it. She had another person have the exact same thing with the US Prescriptions. She said that Lyme is very rare. I said it’s often misdiagnosed as something else and we got into the whole politics of it. She was very interested.

And I also did my monthly blood labs. I did manage to get a requisition for the CD57 blood test even with everyone scratching their heads as to what this test was about, not only the doctor, but the nurse and the medical lab person who draws the blood. They all know about the CD4 which is the HIV test. They don’t offer the CD57 it at CML Health Care, so I will need to go to Gamma Dynacare.

This past weekend out of town, my husband and I also celebrated our 12 year anniversary. Well that’s officially on paper. I have known him since I was 12 years old, which means we have been in each others lives for about 26 years. As I was sitting down about to type this post, I see a little card stuck underneath my keyboard. I opened it and the last paragraph was this. 🙂

Ok, this was a very long winded post, I will end this for now. I survived our 11 hour drive total and about $1000 gouge into my pocket in total for this round trip of meds, tests, gas, consult fees, herbs, meals. UGH!

I will reconnect with you after we have oodles of fun with Cinderella and her step sisters! There will be lots of walking, and food challenges I’m sure. Hope I survive!

Visit to my Lyme Homeopath

Remember in one of my previous posts, my cessation of Flagyl wasn’t really a loss because it only cost me $1.11 our of pocket? Well you can scratch that because I just spent $398 in its replacement.

I think I’ve gone completely off my rocker, because my intention of seeing my Homeopath today was to ensure that I wasn’t going to die from last week’s dose of Flagyl. He assured me that I am not. He most likely believed what I had was one big gigantic mass killing, but again, one never knows if it was really a herx or side effect.

So during the 1.5 hour visit, I explained the festivities of the past week and said the reason I was there was to figure out how to better detox my system while being on this plethora of meds. The good thing about my homeopath is that alot of his clients are also seeing the same LLMD as me, so I guess he knows the drill so to speak. So after the tongue diagnosis and pulse reading, he said nothing really much has changed since the last time I saw him, and this is because of the antibiotics. The discoloration of the tongue is due to the medication, and he said that it is a “damp” environment meaning that for sure Candida has come back to play.

I mentioned that perhaps my reaction to the Flagyl was that probably I reached the dose too fast. He said “Not really, it’s not about how fast you get there, but how well your body expels the dead lyme and dead antibodies.”

So with that said, I walked out with more herbs and supplements which I will explain below.

Left to Right:

  • This digestive enzyme is to be taken as needed before a meal. It will help relieve nausea and such.
  • The Serrapeptase (shown in different doses) are to help break down biofilms/dead bug parts. To be started in doses to reach 3 x day

Left to Right:

  • This is my new vitamin B12. I am to take 3 drops a day. This is awesome because I can scratch one pill off my list
  • Teasel Root – 3 drops, 3x a day. He originally gave me this before as the Lyme Challenge. I wasn’t aware that I was to continually take this. So I am back at it.
  • Cat’s Claw, Dandelion and Astralagus – Again, this was given to me as the Lyme Challenge, however now I am upping the dose gradually to 15 drops, 3x a day. OMG.

This will be my new Probiotic after I finish the one I already have. This has 7 different strains where as the Metagenics one I am taking now only has 2.

I think it’s detrimental to our healing that we see a Naturopath or Homeopath that specializes in Lyme and Nutrition. With homeopathy, it’s about treatment of the individual, not a general template that you apply to each person who is sick. One great thing he told me was that he has seen MANY successes in his practice who are both on antibiotics and homeopathy. Some who catch it early within a year are better between 4-6 months.

He also said how you can really tell if you have success is if you one day get a cold / flu later on (after your treatment), and your old symptoms don’t come back. It will be a “different” kind of flu. Then you know that your lyme is “gone”.

One thing he also mentioned to me is that later on down the road, I may be able to tolerate Flagyl. And how do I know this? When my tongue turns back to a normal healthy pink and when the Candida is under control. And one can do this via spit test to see. But right now, I don’t think I can entertain the thought of Flagyl even if it came up to me in the form of Brad Pitt and asked me on a date to the Oscars.

Back from Hades. Well sort of.

I apologize for the picture analogy here but there is no other way to describe what I went through. This painting is called “Saturn Devouring his Son“, by Goya. I had to study this painting for my entire 3rd year of university (being a Fine Arts Major), so with that said, if I can stare at this for 9 months and write a 10 page essay on it, I’m sure you can stomach it for a whole of 5 minutes. I had to fiercely search for the name of this painting again in Google because I was so traumatized by it, I blocked the entire thing from my memory.

I don’t know if I’ve fully come out of whatever the heck I was in but I don’t think I’ve felt like that since last July when my really bad symptoms appeared. I would like to think it was a culmination of things as mentioned in the previous post. Some observations the past few days:

  • the alien being that took over my tongue is slowly going away
  • I feel sick after the double dose of doxy
  • I felt better eating take out food
  • the body buzzing is slowly diminishing (something I have been noticing but don’t wanna jinx)
  • my appetite is most likely 80% back. And I get a good hungry stomach, not the “wanna barf and vomit but hungry stomach”

Saturday nights are the night to fill the mammoth pill box I have. I looked at my hubby and said “Seriously I can’t do this.” My little guy says “Mommy I will help!” But seeing him handling the 100+ pills wasn’t a normal sight to be seen, so I said “Thanks, but why don’t you play XBOX!”. My medication spreadsheet no longer is needed because it’s all in my head. I guess that’s a good thing right? My Lyme Buddy had a visit to her naturopath and told me that we shouldn’t be taking so many synthetic vitamins. We should be getting that from food. What I determined this week is that I am going to be stopping my Magnesium and B6. I will try to get this from food.

There are many times that I question if I have Lyme or if it’s something else. I don’t know why. Perhaps its because my symptoms don’t fit the mold of everyone else. I dread 8 am and 8 pm because that’s when the Doxy is supposed to be taken. This morning, I skipped my entire morning ABX dose. I didn’t want to miss church again for the hundredth time due to feeling sick, so I opted out, only taking the nystatin. I was pretty good actually and we are going back for a picnic now in the afternoon.

Then it’s back to the rut!

Lyme Buddy

This post is dedicated to my Lyme Buddy. Without having been introduced to her through an equally awesome mutual friend, I wouldn’t have gotten tested through IgeneX. She has been my moral support. She started this Lyme Treatment with me. On the same day. Doing the same exact treatment protocol. Seeing the same LLMD. What are the chances of this? No chances. Only God coincidence. The only thing I am jealous of her right now is the fact that she handled Flagyl better than I.We text and email hundreds of times daily. Good to compare notes on how we are doing. We sometimes chat on the phone for hours. While experiencing my “One Herx to rule them all“, which is still happening as we speak, I think I might have scared her into thinking I was being possessed by a crazy demon.

I woke up to an email from her this morning and I was greeted with this. Thank you for putting this into perspective for me. Love ya!

  • I’m grateful that the Lyme has encouraged me learn how to live a healthier lifestyle
  • I’m grateful that this healthier lifestyle will keep me looking younger… I will soon have better looking skin, tighter fit body
  • I’m grateful that it has shown me the people that love me and the others that I need to remove
  • I’m grateful that I take less for granted
  • I’m grateful that I can see, hear, walk and run
  • I’m grateful I can still snuggle, play and be a mother to my children
  • I’m grateful I can remember and figure things out
  • I’m grateful that I caught this infection early
  • I’m grateful I didn’t have go through this all alone
  • I’m grateful I’m still young and have a long life of good times waiting for me
  • I’m grateful that I am becoming a stronger person

Syonara Flagyl

Well. Here’s an update but pretty much the same as per the last post. I don’t even know where to begin.

  • I started flagyl last week starting at 1/4 pill working my way up to 1 pill by day 5.
  • Day 2, I had the worst extreme nausea known to man
  • Day 2-5, I was ok. I felt pretty good
  • Day 6, nausea again in the morning, fatigued, threw up in evening
  • Day 7, Niagara Falls Hemorrhage showed up, nausea in morning, fatigued all day in bed, at night nausea again
  • Day 7 – present. Ate practically nothing. Didn’t throw up again but very nauseous on and off with no appetite but still hungry. It was the worst feeling ever stomach wise. Lost another 3 pounds.
  • Got concerned and emailed LLMD. Was told to stop the Flagyl and get some Grapefruit Seed Extract (this is apparently the brand that Lyme people use. I found this in Canada) and GSE is supposed to treat the Cyst Form as equal as Flagyl.
  • Was told to pulse it as tolerated. It is to be dropped in water or whatever the instructions say.

TODAY:

  • I was able to work a little. This morning I had really bad nausea again, but my appetite is slowly coming back. I am also having vertigo issues and burning pain in legs and arms.
  • I’m a little upset that I couldn’t tolerate the Flagyl. I don’t like to be defeated like that. I have a pretty strong pain threshold. 5 years ago, I managed to get to 6cm dilated without uttering a peep while waiting for an epidural.
  • I’m not sure if what I went through was a herx, or a side effect of Flagyl. Either way, it was not much fun and I don’t want to do that EVER AGAIN.
  • My tongue has turned into this reddish, brown, white being, and I am a little concerned. I booked an appointment with my Lyme Homeopath for Monday.

What are your thoughts? Do you think it was a HERX? or a side effect? Also if you have used GSE, please let me know how well it worked for you.

Positive Note: Flagyl was no skin off my back. It cost me $1.11

One Herx to Rule them All

I totally dedicate this post to the two men who coined this term. Without them, what would be be called? Death Reaction? That’s probably how I would name it.

Well, fitting title for this post because after I signed off happily from my rant last Friday all prepared to enjoy my long weekend with 25 degree weather, the stars decided to pay me back by reuniting me with my bed. ALL WEEKEND.

I did manage to get out once to see fireworks, in between vomiting, feeling like death, eating a quarter of piece of toast all day, amidst trying to keep a conversation with someone and trying not to gag and generally walking around like a zombie.

I weighed myself yesterday morning and I’m scared to say that I am 101.5 pounds. Under any normal circumstances, I would be jumping for joy at the thought of how I would look in a bikini, because my goal weight pre-lyme was to be 110 pounds. I’m not that tall, I’m only 5 foot, and according to the BMI Calculator I’m only 19.8. Which means this is normal. But lower end normal. I just don’t like how I got here. People are already starting to talk. I’ve been told “you are wasting away, you gotta eat”, “OMG you look like a skeleton”. But how do you eat when you have zero appetite?

Well that is what happens to me when a Herx comes. The majority of my issues is upper GI. I have very faint joint pain, and swollen joints, I don’t know what’s worse. Besides this, I feel very dizzy and just generally really fatigued and brain dead. Sometimes I even question myself if I have lyme. Everyone’s symptoms seems to be joint and arthritis. Mine isn’t, but I do get it, just not on a massive scale. But what brings me back to the lyme world is the body buzzing. Like a bunch of bees in my body buzzing faintly. This is a classic symptom.

Well, today is Tuesday and I’m back but still feeling the lingering effects. My appetite has slightly come back and I was able to make some butternut squash soup (don’t yell at me for the carbs), and some banana fritters for my little guy that I can only drool over by watching him eat it.

Gross things I’ve noticed – please advise

  • Green/white/brown tongue – please, if someone can shed some light here, help me out. Is this a result of the meds? or flagyl? or yeast? I’m on nystatin and probiotics, so what is this?
  • My mouth has gone from metal taste to something foreign and alien like. I was tempted to cut my tongue off, but didn’t think that was a great idea, so I brushed it like it was on fire.

Possible reasons for my herx this weekend

  • Doubled up on Doxy (now it’s 2 pills, 2 x a day)
  • Started Flagyl and upped to 1 pill, 2 x a day
  • Started my monthly cycle

Everything just aligned and as a result, it turned catastrophic. What else could you expect. I was tempted to stop the meds for one day but my lyme buddy said not to or she will come and cut off my hair. I must say that the last time I barfed was on March 28, 2011. That was well over a year ago. I know this because I rarely barf. And it was from the ever so famous lasagna that my mother in law made to which my husband cheekily says to me after the barf episode, “What a waste of a lasagna.” Then he gave me a big hug. And I wiped my mouth on his shirt.

I really really hate vomiting. I loathe it. But this time I couldn’t hold it. The actual vomiting was only 3 seconds, but I felt really good after. My husband loves throwing up. He yelled at me last time for giving him pepto. He says he feels free once it all comes out. I don’t know, but I will take all sorts of medication to keep it down. I even drove half an hour in traffic to get ginger candy. But that didn’t work because when I popped it in my mouth, I threw up about 3 minutes later.

Well, I’m back from the dead now and hopefully I will stay here for another 2 weeks.

I apologize for the grossness of this post.

Full Moon

Guess what tonight is. It’s the full moon. Do you know what this means? It means your Lyme symptoms will come out and play. So guess what I did. I googled all the full moon occurrences for the rest of the year and programmed it in one of my iPad apps.

I forgot all about my programming until my little guy said to me 20 minutes ago while driving home: “Mommy! look at the moon!” Then it dawned on me. The past week explains it all. My symptoms flew at me like some wild bat out of hell. I also finished Aunt Flo which is also known to occur around the full moon. Geez, what we women go through!!!

I remember one time a famous comic writer asking for ideas on a comic. I thought up a great one but I think my suggestion got buried somewhere in his email due to the thousands of submissions. It went something like this:

Week 1: Woman is on cycle (feels like crap)
Week 2: Woman is free
Week 3: Woman is ovulating (feels like crap)
Week 4: PMS (feels like crap)

So that means that technically we have only 1 week out of the month that is semi ok, which equals to only 12 weeks out of the year, which really means that 9 months out of the year, we feel like complete crap. Now, you throw Lyme into the mix and you multiply that by 1000. And you might as well fill that week 2 with “Feels like crap”. And that would explain why we are in lovely moods all the time.

What about you? Do your symptoms get worse during the full moon?

Babesia came and said Hi.

Now that I’ve managed to semi crawl out of the hole that I was in for 2 days, I’m feeling much better. I wouldn’t say it was 2 days full of herxes. But just enough herx to make me lie on the couch for a good while. Then I would feel better, do something, then back on the couch. I think it is rather predictable now. I know this is my Lyme cycle week. I know I also started the Doxy this week. Both together does not equal a good equation.

How do I feel when a herx pays me a vist? I get really dizzy. I get body vibrations and minor tremors. I get pins and needles in my face. I feel nauseous. I lose my appetite. I get ravenously hungry. My joints become inflamed. I have night sweats. I close the drapes. I turn the volume to low. My ears are ringing. All this while I have my 5 year old spinning his hotwheels all over the place.

Things I did the past 2 days:

  • worked a little bit
  • went and got that stupid printer
  • took a walk around the block today in this beautiful sunshine weather with my 5 year old on his bike. Forgot about the Doxy and the possible burning of the skin.

Something interesting I read earlier on was a doctor noting that it shouldn’t be called Lyme. It should be called Babesia and Bartonella with co-infections of Lyme. I thought this was really quite accurate.

On a brighter note, I made myself a smoothie. I didn’t care if it had 15 grams of sugar or whatever the sugar content is.

Blueberry + Banana Smoothie

♥ 1 cup of frozen blueberries
♥ 1 banana
♥ 2 cups of coconut milk
♥ 1 tsp of vanilla

Instructions: Blend the living crap out of it.
Warning: It WILL taste bland. But better than rice crackers.

Doxy, you ain’t my friend either.

And I thought I was doing so good. Today between the hours of 9:30 am to about 3:00 pm, my butt got handed to me again. I often wonder what the difference is between my “Lyme Cycle”, or a “Herx”. I read somewhere that the difference is normally a herx occurs between 3-4 days after the introduction of a new drug. Well that answers my question seeing  I started the Doxy on Monday.

Today was supposed to be perfect. My little guy goes to school only 2 or 3 days a week and today was one of them. My plan was to spend the day catching up on some work and I had a client call at 9:00 am. I had my Ezekiel 4:9 toast with some newly acquired Almond Butter. Half hour later, I went for my Sauna. I felt great. Then a shower. Then shortly after, many trips to the bathroom that even got my husband to say “Are you going to be ok.”

I’m really glad my 9am forgot to call because I spent the next 6 hours on the couch with a 2 hour nap in between. Not sure what happened there. My guess is that maybe the Almond Butter did something. It was kinda very oily. But I had it last night and had no probs. The other explanation would be that the Doxy kicked in. So what were my symptoms? Like someone put me in a dryer and then took me out an hour later. Like someone said “here, lets light your hands and feet on fire, and maybe we will throw a bucket of ice just cuz.” My stomach was also in knots. Add to that a mix between ravenous and pukey. Like seriously stomach, MAKE UP YOUR FREAKING MIND.

It was pretty much over by 3PM. I walked to the mailbox and then by 3:30 had to pick up the little guy from the bus stop. So what did I do today?  A BIG FAT NOTHING.

** update 2 hours later **

  • I got my neighbour to watch my little buddy while I got out to do my first monthly blood work for my LLMD. It turns out they don’t fax copies to the States. Great. I will have to haul a$$ to Dr. Gollum and request a copy.
  • I ran some errands, got some take out sushi, eating like 1 piece every half hour. Our printer ran out of ink, so my hubby wants to buy a new printer because he said it’s cheaper than ink. So that’s what I did, shopped for printers.
  • My mom is now over to make me that beef bone broth soup I was talking about earlier in another post.
